Karyn Hall, Ph.D

Karyn Hall, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist who trained at the University of Virginia and Case Western Reserve Medical School. She earned a Masters in Clinical Psychopharmacology from Alliant University/California School of Professional Psychology in cooperation with Texas A & M University. Her specialty areas include borderline personality disorder, severe/chronic mood disorders, including post traumatic stress disorder, and eating disorders.

She has completed intensive training and advanced training in dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and is versed in other mindfulness-based therapies including mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) and mindfulness based cognitive therapy. She is a Level II certified EMDR clinician and also trained in exposure therapy. She is the founder of the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Center in Houston where she works with international and national clients.

Melissa Cook

Melissa Cook is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She studied counseling at Houston Graduate School of Theology, where she received a Masters in Counseling, with a strong Christian orientation. Melissa has a true calling to work with people afflicted with eating disorders. While in college, Melissa struggled with many facets of an eating disorder and found recovery through therapy and her faith. She understands the disease from many different perspectives, both from research and a personal experience. After recovering, getting married, and having three children, Melissa went back to school in order help people with eating disorders who struggle as she did. She feels blessed to be able to serve those afflicted and uses her extensive training and her personal experience to better serve her clients.

While in graduate school, Melissa received intensive training in the DBT Center. After graduation, she became a permanent part of the DBT Center, where she treats clients who have eating disorders from a DBT perspective. Melissa is also trained to treat those who suffer from Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression, Generalized Anxiety and Bi-Polar disorder.

Suzanne W. Robinson, LCSW,ACSW

Suzanne W. Robinson, LCSW,ACSW received her masters degree in Social Work from Tulane University in 1975.She then did a residency in Child Psychiatry at Tulane University Medical School. In New Orleans she worked with LSU Medical School, Department of Neurology, with an infant development program and in 1978 she became coordinator of adolescent and children's services with a community mental health center. Since moving to Houston in 1981, Suzanne Robinson, LCSW, ACSW worked with inpatient Adolescent psychiatric programs, most recently with the Menninger Clinic. She has been in private practice as a psychotherapist since 1983 and has specialized in working in the area of relationship and mood disorders in children adolescents, and adults.

Meggan Watson, LCSW

Meggan Watson is a licensed clinical social worker who completed her master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Social Work. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Meggan has experience providing therapy to people from a variety of cultures.

Meggan worked and trained in California with children, adolescents and their families and earned a special certification in play therapy from the University of California San Diego. While in California, she trained and worked for three years with people with autism spectrum disorders. While working with families, Meggan gained understanding of the effects of abuse, neglect, trauma and the impact of biology and environment on development.

Meggan has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy through Behavioral Tech and has regular consultation with the president of B-Tech. Her training in DBT allows her to effectively treat people with mood, personality, eating and adjustment disorders. In 2005, Meggan and her family returned to her native Houston to continue practice there.
